Properties:It is a white to off-white crystalline powder, slight aromatic odor. Melting point is 56℃~58℃. Decomposition temperature is more than 280℃. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in dilute alkali solutions, freely soluble in many organic reagents.
Uses:Triclosan is mainly used in skin care products (such as hand sanitizer, sanitary lotion, antimicrobial soap, personal care cream, shampoo, bath fluid, facial cleaning products, hair and body cleaning products, special skin care products, deodorant care products, etc.). Oral hygiene products (oral cleaning fluid, toothpaste, etc.). Household hygiene products (antimicrobial detergent, tableware detergent, etc.). Medical industry sanitary products (medical equipment disinfectants, etc.). Children's toys, textile fabric finishing and pulp, polymer anti-corrosion treatment and other fields. High-purity triclosan is also used in toothpaste, a special drug for preventing oral diseases. Triclosan has synergistic and sustained-release effect when used in conjunction with fluoride.
