Properties: Diglyme is a colorless flammable liquid, smell slightly like ether. Melting point: -64℃ ~ -68℃, Boiling point: 162℃. It can be miscible with water, alcohol, ether and hydrocarbon solvents. It is stable, not easy to react, but decomposition will occur in the presence of high temperature acid catalyst. It can form peroxides with oxygen, so it needs to be tightly enclosed for light preservation.
Uses: Diglyme is mainly used as the organic solvent of nitrocellulose, synthetic resin, paint, ink, and so on. Its solubility is strong, it can be used as the solvent of paint remover and thinner. Because of its good chemical stability, it can also be used as the inert solvent of organic synthesis.
In addition, Diglyme can be used as a solvent for waterborne paint, leather and fiber leveling agent, photo printing leveling agent. It can also be used as aprotic polar solvent in organic synthesis, and used as a solvent for anionic polymerization and coordination ion polymerization.
Storage: Keep containers tightly closed and store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat, sparks and heated sources. Store separately from oxidizers and acids, and do not mix storage.
Packing: 190kg closed steel drum
