Properties:Trans-1,2-dichloroethylene is a colorless to yellowish transparent liquid. Smells like chloroform. Flammable, its steam and air can form explosive mixture. It will explode if exposed to open fire and high heat. It can react strongly with the oxidant. It is possible to form explosive chloroacetylene with copper and its alloys. Heated in the air, it will decompose and release the highly toxic phosgene and hydrogen chloride gases. Soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents, insoluble in water. Boiling point(101.3kPa): 47.7ºC; Melting point: -49.4ºC; Relative density(20/4ºC): 1.2565g/mL; Refractive index(N20ºC): 1.4457; Flash point(opening): 6ºC.
Uses:Trans-1,2-dichloroethylene is an environmental organic solvent, no damage to the atmosphere, mainly used as electronic cleaning agent in electronic industry, it serve as the surface treatment of wax matrix and metal cleaner. Also, it can be used for paint stripper, acetate fiber and resin solvent.
Storage:Keep in a well-closed container, protected from light. Stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Stored separately from Oxidants and acids.
Packing:250kg steel barrel
