Functions
Indication
Power Indication
* When the green LED indicator is on: AC power voltage is connected.
* When the red LED indicator is on: battery power is being used.
* When the LED indicator is off: the CIU battery is operating in standby mode.
TX and RX Indication
* Flashing frequency of these two yellow LED indicators indicate direct and instant communications between the meter and CIU.
Display Messages
Keypad Overview
The CIU is equipped with a standard 3*4 keypad. When numbers are typed into the keypad, the LCD will automatically display the input numbers and already typed digits number in left upper corner (For example, if already input 001, 03 will display in left upper corner, which means 3 digits already typed). When exceeding four numbers, the meter will automatically group four numbers, and separate every group by a dash. During the keypad operation, all the irrelevant symbols will not be displayed for the time being. With each key press, the CIU will emit an audible tone.
Numeric keys 0-9 are used for the input of tokens or short codes, the other two special key buttons delete and confirmation. The delete button: when the input is incorrect, used to delete the digitals from right to left. The enter button: after completing input of the token, press enter button to confirm, and the CIU will send the token to load purchased power to the meter. Otherwise, if there is an error with the input token, there will an audible alarm, and LCD will display the corresponding error code accordingly. If no numbers have been entered, the enter button can be used to scroll through the data.
