Working principle:
- Counter-flow square cooling tower: Hot water is sprayed down from the top water distribution system. At the same time, air is sucked in by the fan from the bottom of the cooling tower and flows upward, forming a counter-flow contact with the hot water. During the falling process, the hot water exchanges heat with the air. The heat is carried away by the air and the water temperature drops. The cooled water is collected in the water collection pan at the bottom of the tower.
- Cross-flow square cooling tower: Hot water enters the cooling tower from one side and flows horizontally through the packing layer. Air is sucked in from the side of the cooling tower by the fan and crosses the packing laterally to exchange heat with the hot water. The hot water after the cooling process flows out from the other side.
