Principle
Working principle: Broadband simulation test mode, receiving and detecting tapping transmission signal field strength, according to the variety relationship between detected position and signal strength, discover and determine the accurate location of tapping.
Application
Wireless tapping (videotape, recording) refers to delivering stolen information by electromagnetic emissions form; it is a generic name for wireless tapping/candid camera/secretly recording. The wireless detector (anti record/mobile signal detector) is used for special places, to check whether there is wireless tapping device, discover and determine the accurate location timely.
With the development of wireless tapping (candid camera) technology, the tapping performance is higher and higher. Mainly in small size, low power, complicated modulation, wide range, high-speed, remote controllability and conceal ability , etc. The difficulty of detection is increased.

Component Description
Handheld detector, The SMA socket on the left top is antenna socket, the two oval long holes on the front panel is loudspeaker output holes, there are 10 grades of LED indicators in the middle upper, first from the left is power LED, from the second to tenth is detection LED, to show the signal strength from weak to strong. The knob on the right top is power switch and adjustable detection threshold.
Operation Description
Connect small configuration antenna before use. Push down the battery cover, press the 9V laminated battery aligned positive and negative tightly (note the switch knob is on "off" before mounting battery). Then cover tightly;
The top knob clockwise twist to the right to hear a "ka" sound when the device is turned on. At this time the first and second LED light up. Adjust the knob clockwise continuously; it's the highest detection sensitivity when the third LED from left is going to light up. When the device is gradually approaching the working wireless-tapping (or ongoing communication mobile phone and other mobile communication equipments), the LED will light one by one, until all LED lighted up and the voice of loudspeaker changed from low to high. Now there may be a certain distance with wiretap, adjust the knob to make the third LED off, until the range narrowed to a few centimeters: LED indication multi-level changed, tone variations widely---the specific location of wiretap, the process is repeated in general, to make sure the position.
Used for detecting whether there is the variation field strength (20 to 30db or more) of the near-field electromagnetic signals in small range (few to tens of meters).Although some far-field signal is strong, it changes a little in large range and can be excluded. Because of the different environment in each unit, the user should be familiar with their own electromagnetic background of work environment.
Set the detection threshold before entering the scene, search and observe indications in a certain interval after entering the scene, continuously adjust the threshold according to the scene. Phone/desk lamp/fax and other office equipments should detect in its working state, pay attention to variation of indications in near distance (if there is micro-power wiretap, even if detector in its highest sensitivity, the detection range is only several centimeters, and indicator has only few level changed). Big change within small range around various objects is suspicious and should be further investigation and analysis. Sometimes a small area of live space will also have the big indication change, it’s usually caused by standing wave made by metal objects inside the building; if no specific objects (only air) that can be excluded. If there is specific objects, change position and detect again. The detection time can be greatly shortened with a familiar environment. Unfamiliar environment can shorten detection time through experience analysis and process. Sometimes the user doesn't move but the indication has a sudden drastic change, its illustrated there is signal transmission near. Please note that excluding anyone using a mobile phone, but the mobile phone is also sometimes used for wiretapping! And excluding leakage of microwave, induction cooker and other electrical devices.
Considerations
9V packed cell.
LED indication is continuous, if a middle LED not bright, the device is faulty and needs repair. It need to replace the battery when the left two LED flashes.
Sound alarm and LED indication is synchronous, if not, equipment is failure, in need of repair. If only indicators light, no sound, frequency is too high, readjust the threshold.
