What is Lanthanum Oxide used for?
As a rare earth element, Lanthanum is used to make carbon arc lights which are used in the motion picture industry for studio lighting and projector lights. Lanthanum Oxide is to be used as a supply of lanthanum. Lanthanum Oxide finds uses in: Optical glasses, La-Ce-Tb phosphors for fluorescent, FCC catalysts. It is suitable for glass, optic and ceramic applications, and used in some ferroelectric materials, and is a feedstock for certain catalysts, among other uses.
