Vinylethylene Carbonate (VEC)

Sales Vinylethylene Carbonate (VEC)

Vinylethylene carbonate is a film forming additive for lithium-ion battery. It can make electrochemical reduction reaction on the surface of graphite cathode before the electrolyte, and forming a layer of thicker and higher impedance SEI film. The film is stable and not easy to decompose, which can inhibit the reduction and decomposition reaction of the electrolyte.

UsesVinylethylene carbonate is mainly used as a film additive for lithium-ion batteries. This product has a high reduction potential, so in the process of chemical synthesis, it can prior to the electrolyte to make electrochemical reduction reaction on the surface of the graphite cathode, and form a thicker and larger impedance SEI film. The film is stable at room and high temperature, and not easy to decompose, which can inhibit the reduction and decomposition reaction of the electrolyte on the surface of graphite cathode and reduces the generation of gas products. Beside, it avoid damage to the structure and performance of the cathode material, the capacity retention rate is improved at room temperature, especially at high temperature, and the flatulence of the battery is inhibited. The SEI film has good cycling performance, but the impedance is large, which is not conducive to the lithium deintercalation, the capacity and efficiency of the first charge and discharge are low.

StorageStore in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Keep away from heat and fire sources. Avoid direct light irradiation. Don’t contact with oxides, reducing agents, acids and bases. The recommended storage temperature is below 25°C. The shelf life is 6 months.

Packing20kg or 200kg stainless steel drums with quick joints and filled with nitrogen protection (Nitrogen pressure 0.11-0.13mpa).
