The Omron photoelectric proximity sensor is a switch that utilizes a DC magnetic field generated by magnetic force. Photoelectric proximity sensors can use high-frequency vibration to detect magnetic and non-magnetic metal objects, and use electrostatic capacity to detect the presence of non-metallic objects. According to the different usage environments, Omron proximity sensors are available in environmentally resistant, heat-resistant, chemical corrosion resistant, and waterproof types. 1. Working principle: Photoelectric switch (photoelectric sensor) is the abbreviation of photoelectric proximity switch. It uses the obstruction or reflection of the detected object on the beam of light, and is selected by a synchronous circuit to detect the presence of the object. Objects are not limited to metals, and all objects that can reflect light can be detected. The photoelectric switch converts the input current into an optical signal on the transmitter and emits it. The receiver then detects the target object based on the strength or presence of the received light. The working principle is shown in Figure 1. Most photoelectric switches use infrared light waves with wavelengths close to visible light.
