Properties：Glutaric acid is a needle or large oblique crystal. Melting point: 96-98°C, Boiling point: 303°C. Easily soluble in water, anhydrous ethanol and ether, soluble in benzene, chloroform, slightly soluble in petroleum ether
Uses：Glutaric acid is mainly used to produce Glutaric anhydride. In the field of medicine, it is used in the production of α-Ketoglutaric acid, Peroxyglutaric acid, B-(4-chlorophenyl) glutaric acid and the production of antihypertensive intermediates. In industry, it is used as an initiator in the synthesis of resins, rubbers and plasticizers, as well as in welding adhesives.
