A distribution board is a device that concentrates, switches and distributes electrical energy, usually consisting of a cabinet, switches, protection devices, monitoring devices, electric energy meters and other secondary components.
According to their functions, switchboards can be divided into fixed panel switchgear, protective switchgear and drawer switchgear, etc. These switchgears have their own characteristics. For example, fixed panel switchgear is mainly used for power supply of industrial and mining enterprises with lower requirements, while drawer switchgear is suitable for centralized control and distribution centers of high-rise buildings and industrial and mining enterprises due to its high reliability and interchangeability.
The switchboard can also be divided into high-voltage switchboard and low-voltage switchboard according to the voltage. High-voltage switchboard is usually used for higher voltage level power transmission equipment, while low-voltage switchboard is directly used for low-voltage equipment and electrical appliances.
