1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane is a colorless, flammable and fluid liquid with a sweet taste and a strong chloroform-like odor. It is mainly used as a raw material for the production of Trichloroethylene and Tetrachloroethylene. It is also used as a non-combustible solvent for resins, rubber, fats, etc.
