The EL5001 is an EtherCAT Terminal module manufactured by Beckhoff Automation. EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology) is a high-performance industrial Ethernet-based fieldbus system commonly used in automation applications.
The EL5001 EtherCAT Terminal module is specifically designed for measuring voltage signals. It allows for the acquisition of analog voltage values with a resolution of 16 bits. The module provides four single-ended inputs, each supporting a voltage range of -10 to +10 volts. The EL5001 supports direct measurement of bipolar voltage signals and can be integrated into a Beckhoff EtherCAT I/O system for data acquisition and control purposes.
Each input channel of the EL5001 features a programmable filter and offset/gain adjustment to facilitate accurate and precise measurement. Configuration and data exchange with the module are handled through the EtherCAT communication interface.
