It used with Allen Bradley's ControlLogix programmable logic controllers (Cs) and provides 8 channels of digital input or digital output functionality.
The 2085-IF8 module can be configured for either input or output operation on a per-channel basis. As an input module, it can accept signals from various field devices such as switches, sensors, and other digital devices. As an output module, it can command external devices such as actuators, solenoids, and other devices requiring digital control.
The module uses a 24V DC input/output system. It is capable of sourcing or sinking current to interface with the field devices. It offers compatibility with a wide range of input and output signal types, including AC and DC signals, and can operate at different voltage levels.
