The Allen-Bradley 1797-IRT8 drive is a Flex Ex thermocouple input module. Allen-Bradley has designed this input module to use 8 channels for input and it has a signal range from 0 to 485 ohm and from -40 to 100 MV. The power rating of the drive has a module field-side power consumption of 1.6 Watts and it needs less than 9.5 Volts DC of power supply voltage for Ui and current consumption of less than 1 Amps for Li. The 1797-IRT8 comes with an IP20 enclosure. The enclosure is not water-resistant. It can only be used indoors in a factory and protected from water sprays and splashes. It uses 12 AWG stranded cables for connection purposes. For mounting the input module in different locations, this drive is equipped with a DIN rail mounting option and a panel mounting option.
