Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP) ControlLogix high-speed analog I/O modules may be inserted and removed from the chassis while power is applied. This feature allows greater availability of the overall control system because, while the module is being removed or inserted, there is no additional disruption to the rest of the controlled process. Module Fault Reporting ControlLogix high-speed analog I/O modules provide both hardware and software indication when a module fault has occurred. Each module has a fault status indicator. The Logix Designer application graphically displays the fault and includes a fault message describing the nature of the fault.
