  • The 100G QSFP28 Bidi Optical Transceiver Module is a quad-channel, pluggable, multimode, fiber optic QSFP28 transceiver for 100 Gigabit Ethernet applications. The transceiver is a high-performance module for short-haul data communications and interconnect applications.

 

  • It allows optical communications up to 100 meters over a single duplex LC multimode OM4 fiber optic cable. Pull tabs facilitate the insertion and extraction of these transceivers in high-density environments. Each channel operates at 25.78125 Gb/s and is compliant with the 100GE CAUI4 interface with host FEC off.

 

  • It consolidates four 25Gb/s host electrical data channels in each direction into two 50Gb/s optical channels, providing 100Gb/s aggregated bandwidth.

 

  • The modules are designed to operate on a multimode fiber system using nominal wavelengths of 850nm and 900nm. The electrical interface uses a 38-contact QSFP28-edge type connector. The optical interface uses a conventional dual fiber duplex LC MMF connector.

 

  • The module uses proven integrated circuits and VCSEL technology to provide reliable long life, high performance and stable service.
