The working principle of air-cooled
chillers:
During the operation of the air-cooled
chiller, the refrigerant absorbs the heat of the cooled object and vaporizes in
the evaporator. The compressor continuously extracts the produced gas from the
evaporator and compresses it into high-temperature, high-pressure steam,
refrigerant vapor After being sent to the condenser, it exchanges heat with the
air. After the heat is released, it is condensed into a liquid. After the
pressure is reduced by the throttling mechanism, it enters the evaporator,
vaporizes again, absorbs the heat of the cooled object, and circulates again
and again.
Features of air-cooled chillers:
(1) Due to the difference in heat transfer
temperature, the condensing temperature of the air-cooled chiller is higher
than that of the water-cooled under the same outdoor environmental conditions.
Therefore, the power consumption of the air-cooled chiller is the same when the
cooling capacity is the same. The amount will be higher. In terms of energy
efficiency, the cooling capacity of water-cooled chillers is usually
300~500Kcal/h higher than that of air-cooled chillers.
(2) The air-cooled chiller avoids the
problems of condenser fouling and water pipe blockage in areas with poor water
quality, and saves water resources. However, the heat exchange efficiency of
the finned condenser used is greatly affected by the accumulation of ash and
dirt. A dust filter must be installed before the heat dissipation fin tube, and
it needs to be cleaned regularly.
(3) Compared with water-cooled chillers, air-cooled chillers use finned condensers, which directly use fans to force air flow to take away the heat of the refrigerant, and other auxiliary equipment is not required, which can save you Cooling tower, cooling water pump and cooling piping system.
