Denatonium benzoate is a quaternary ammonium salt formed by combining quaternary ammonium cation with inert anion such as benzoate ion or saccharin anion. It is mainly used as repellent, denaturant, food inhibitor and flavoring agent.

Uses:Denatonium Benzoate is the bitterest substance known in the world. Its bitter is 1000 times than Quinine, it becomes intolerable when the concentration in solution reaches 0.003%. Denatonium Benzoate is commonly used in aversive agent, denaturant, food-blocking agent and flavoring agent, etc. It is a cheap and efficient substitute for Strychnine, Quassin, Quinine, Xyloside and Naringin, such as adding to industrial alcohol, antifreeze, paint, toilet cleaner, animals expellant agent, liquid soap, shampoo and other daily necessities, used to prevent the poisoning caused by people and animals eat event to occur.
